Years ago now, I had some fun writing up a rudimentary Bestiary of some of the more outlandish creatures that I had imagined while writing the man short shorts I’d written as part of LFTM. You can read the original Bestiary.

Today, however, thanks to the incredible tools provided by the MidJourney team, I am able to translate my own words and imagined inner vision into fairly extraordinary, bizarre, and generally awesome hi-res visual images. As I toy around with MidJourney, I plan on adding imagery to many elements of LFTM – accompaniment to stories, visualizing relics and objects of power or note and, here in the Bestiary, providing awesome visualizations of some of my many creatures.

Original description: The current form of a Dothorian is a tree like trunk with thick bark, a central, lidded eye, and a central orifice, which can be opened and closed. The previous eye and mouth holes have pivoted in their evolutionary use to orifices for respiratory tentacles, with four such orifices and tentacles being permanently relegated to the disposal of bodily waste products.
